Northanger Abbey Prompt 3

As far as I'm concerned, Northanger Abbey serves only to discourage others from reading more Gothic literature. Perhaps it's my predisposition to not enjoying reading Jane Austen, but Northanger Abbey and other Austen works don't appeal to me much at all due to the fact that they cover events that I loathe - trivial, near meaningless relations of the bourgeoisie.
